Volunteers improve living conditions for households in need—minor repairs, repainting, yard cleanup, and revitalization of public spaces across Raleigh.

VolunteerWarm Meals, Warm Hearts
In partnership with local eateries, we serve 1,500–2,000 hot meals each winter to people experiencing homelessness and isolated seniors.
200+ community volunteers support the effort.

Small, catalytic grants for projects like neighborhood tree planting, financial literacy courses for single mothers, and Youth for Change civic initiatives.

Dates: March 21–23, 2026 • Location: West Raleigh, North Carolina
Day 1 — March 21: Kickoff & Orientation
Opening rally at West Raleigh Park; remarks from city representatives and The Philippi Foundation’s founder, Karim H. Hanafy. “Meet Your Neighbor” circle where residents share everyday stories to deepen understanding.
Day 2 — March 22: Action Day
200+ volunteers divide into crews to repaint walls, remove litter, plant trees, and install a pocket play‑space for kids.
Day 3 — March 23: Community Day
Together We Grow fair featuring local nonprofits, music, a free book stall, and Stories of Change photo exhibit documenting the neighborhood’s renewal.
Expected Impact
- Improve living conditions for 500+ households.
- Inspire 10 additional neighborhoods in Raleigh to replicate the model.
- Generate 1,000+ volunteer hours of hands‑on service.
Change is cumulative: many small, kind acts compound into lasting civic transformation.
